Cody Anderson was born to Keith and Lisa (Homann) Anderson who reside in Bloomer, Wisconsin. He attended St. Paul Lutheran School in Bloomer, Wisconsin from kindergarten to 8th grade. After attending Bloomer High, he graduated and at first pursued a career as a Game Warden/Park Ranger at UW-Stevens Point in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
With the help of the campus ministries there, he then transferred to Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota. He graduated from MLC in 3 years with a BS in Educational Studies and minors in Classical Languages and Theology in the summer of 2018.
On August 8th, 2020, he married his wife, Taylor (Thur) Anderson. In May of 2021, she graduated from UW-Stevens Point with a BFA in Interior Architect and Design.
On May 11th, 2022 he received his vicar call to serve the year at Saude, Jerico, and Redeemer Lutheran churches in Lawler and New Hampton Iowa. After serving his vicarage in Iowa and graduating from Bethany Lutheran Theological Seminary on May 10th, 2023, he received his call to serve and care for the souls of Christ Lutheran Church in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
Pastor Anderson’s hobbies include being an avid hunter and fisherman. He is looking forward to serving in the public ministry like his Grandmother, Hildegard (Kunkel) Homann, who served as a teacher, in the class of β61 at Concordia University Chicago.
